"One day I was riding the bus and I went to check my blood sugar. I was high! So i took out my insulin pen to give myself a correction and this guy stopped me before I could finish inserting it and said 'Don't ruin your life. You're too pretty to do drugs!' I looked at him and said, 'This is good drugs, I am a diabetic!' Then we both just laughed it off.
Diabetes sucks most of the time but I wouldn't change it. It makes me me! I glad that i finally started to embrace the fact that I was diagnosed with diabetes because I see that I am never alone. And its like I found a family/ team of friends who are all so supportive of each other. It is just so amazing!"
