"The most embarrassing thing that happens to me is when my mom asks me in public, 'Liana, do you feel high my love?' I like when I go to Camp Conrad Chinook or Padre events. I feel like everybody there understands me. "
Best piece of advice from Liana's parents: Take it one day at a time (yes, always look ahead, but take it one day at a time) don’t beat yourself up over a “bad number” correct it and move forward.
Also, there is no such thing as the “right normal”. Everybody’s home is a “different normal” in their own way. Our normal just happens to be one with type 1 diabetes in it. Everybody is different in their own beautiful way and that is what makes us the wonderful individuals we are.
