"I was in the 6th grade and had just gotten out of the hospital because I was sick from some diabetic related reason. I really wanted to go to the movies with my friends but my parents didn't want me to go because they were worried. My mom insisted that she come with my friends and I and watch me to make sure I didn't eat anything bad. Obviously, it was a lot more embarrassing as a teenager."
